I was trying to connect the USB 3.0 cable from my case to the mobo when i touched a screwdriver on one of the pins, there was a spark and now there is a wheezing sound from my PSU, the pc will not power on, the PSU fan doesn't even power on and i dont know what to do. What should i do?

As for "what parts":

Then look for your motherboard's schematic.

The schematic will should provide the necessary details with respect to figuring out what was damaged.

E.g., you may have shorted 5v into a 3.3 v component. Over-voltage, too much current, too hot, melts, pops apart, burns.

Then the current looks for another path to travel and the damage cascades....

Most likely you shorted something or perhaps somethings.

End result being both the motherboard and PSU being damaged.

Are you able to post a photograph of where the mobo was touched? May help identify specifically what has been damaged and some possible way to recover.

Do not be optimistic as working with a powered up motherboard rarely ends well with an accidental grounding.

I touched the screwdriver onto the pins in the USB port accidentally, thats when the spark occured.

So what parts run on 3v and how would they be affected?
