hello community

i had an ASUS PG278Q, everything was fine but i have some ghosting and asus give me back my money, now i bought the new PG278QR, and in all games i get a maximum of 143hz or 119hz and so on, in window mode the refresh rate is 144hz, so my question is, how do i solve this....i can tell you that im an advanced user, i have my nvcp configured to work with my GTX980M, i have a Clevo P771DMG with an i7 6700k and 32 of ram
thank you in advance

But i had a PG278Q that never have done that, also the 3D mode detects a lower refresh rate and does not recognize the display as a 3d display, In Game, not in window mode, that doesn´t make sense,

Yes my friend i have 144Hz, it appears in the display menu, and in the NVCP, only in game, the option to choose HZ, shows 59, 119, 143 , in every game, diablo 3, magic duels for example

That is because the Hz numbers are truncated.
Your monitor is doing fine. Its just doing
60Hz= ~59.999Hz ~ 59Hz (slightly below 60)
120Hz= 119.999Hz ~119Hz (slightly below 120)
144Hz=143.999Hz ~143Hz (slightly below 144)

Even though they are reported as 1Hz less, you are getting the rated specifications. Monitor manufacturers do this so that their monitors do not exceed the rated number.

There is nothing wrong. To prove this just download Bandicam or Fraps and turn on the FPS indicator with VSync/GSync on. You will get a solid 144 FPS at maximum.

Thank you my friend for your reply, but i have to disagree

First thing, this is happening after i sell my PG278Q to buy this upgraded version, it took 2 days, and the only thing i have done was plug it in when he arrived, i didn´t change nothing, after this i already format my notebook, try different drivers, read numerous forums, etc etc etc

What you say could be true in theory or because someone tell you that to avoid selling conflict, but i had 9 different PG278Q and a VG248QE that i tested in my notebook before this model and none of them gave me this results, all games had 120/144Hz in game or out of it.

I can tell you that the refresh rate in game, for example 119Hz in 3D, shows the Nvidia Red Warning saying that it´s not a 3D capable display, the image doesn´t convert to 3D because of that, so, the Refresh Rate is bellow 120Hz in game, beside he is at 120Hz in desktop mode and this is not normal
