The performance gains from 2GB to 4GB are considerable.

Would get what transmaniacon suggested and changing the seagate barracuda to a wd black 320gb.

I wouldn't go the AM3 route personally, there isn't much of a performance gain from going from DDR2 to DDR3 (like 5% at best) and the price difference is huge. You can use that Processor in an AM2+ socket which is what I would do and then use the savings to get a better GPU and a larger case like the CM 690 (the 300 has some issues fitting larger cards in).

Definitely ditch that PSU, it would be better used as a doorstop. Pickup that Corsair PSU, its a great price for it.

Get the WD3200AAKS HDD instead. It is faster, bigger, more reliable and costs the same.

transmaniacon is correct, the 650TX is 1st quality and Rosewill is 5th quality. However, the 650TX has only 2 PCI-E connectors, and HD 4870 CRossfire requires 4 PCI-E connectors. I'm assuming you want the Crossfire option since you got a 790FX MB. I'd suggest a 750TX or PC Power & Cooling 750W for this. They're also 1st quality and have the 4 connectors.

If possible, get a RC-690 case. It's larger and can take up to 7 fans.

LOL, I hadn't seen the post above mine. RC-690 and CM 690 are the same thing, Coolermaster RC-690 or CM690, it depends on where you buy it. Try www.buy.com, it's usually cheaper there after shipping.
