New power supply advice

Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 5 Motherboard
16GB ram
Corsair RM 850 Modular 850W GOLD Certified PSU

It would seem that my power supply is failing. I've asked multiple forums and the symptoms I'm experiencing (restarting when not under load as well as when under load, restarting without an error message, just like if I had hit the restart button) seem to point to my power supply giving up the ghost. This is not a temperature issue/ram issue as I have tested both.

would this power supply be a good replacement (Corsair HX850i 850W Modular Power Supply) or is there another/better one that a layman such as myself would be better suited to?

Get an EVGA G3 or a Corsair RMx.

a unproperly seated gpu and ram can do tat too, a bad mainboard can do that too

so try to clean and reseat all parts before buying something new

if you have doubts and don't want more corsair, evga or coolermaster is what i would get

The symptoms are most likely a failing power source. RM series aren't very good. I posted 2 above.

Of the two, which would you personally go for? I Can get 850w versions of both for basically the same price as each other.
