New Processor, does it work?

I have a M51BC motherboard and I dont have a very large knowledge of motherboards but I can just put in the chip for my i7-6700k into it right away correct? I dont need any other requirements for me to put in that chip? If so what are they because I am just planning on replacing some parts of my computer (GPU, PSU, CPU).

That is an AMD Motherboard

You are going to also need to get a new motherboard that will support the Intel 1151 socket type for the 6700K
