New processor for Acer Aspire T180

I have a really old computer Acer Aspire T180. Is it possible to put a quad core processor in it? If so, which one will fit? Trying to play games on the computer, but its so slow and lags all over the place now. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I wouldn't even bother putting a quad core in it with only 1 GB of RAM. Upgrade that Ram or build a computer/buy a prebuilt. That computer is so old. You will likely have to replace everything in it to get a better CPU which in that case you might as well build a new computer. Good luck!

I own a t180, ive put 8gb ram & got the athlon 64 x2 6000+ @3.1ghz & it servers its purpose very well..i was also wondering if there was a quad cpu for it, searching just comes up with am2+ not just am2 "/ & even most of them arent nowhere near my cpu speed...?!? Tbh if there is 1, its hard to find & probably is just the only 1 lol
