I would like to see someone produce a coin door lock hole credit
button.
It would be the same dimensions of a standard barrel lock w/small
switch inside fastened by pal nut. (basically a scaled down regular
microswitch & button)
It would have two 5" wires to be easily connected to and removed from
nearby credit switch.
Would cost in the $5 range.

I need 3, black.

Thanks.

Since you seem to know the parts and the cost perhaps you should make
them?

we need MORE people making parts. theres no reason only a small group
of people should be the only ones making items that are needed.

What would keep the door closed?

Why?

Just hot glue a $1 microswitch from a pushbutton to the coin drop, pressing
against the coin reject lever on the acceptor and wire the switch to the
coin switch.

No visual detection, easy coin credit (just press the reject button). Works
on every coin door I've tried it on, easiest are CoinCo/Happ dropps, hardest
are bally/midway (leaf switches work better there)

I used an Atari cone button for a credit switch installed in the
coindoor lock hole. It fit perfectly and looked nice too. Would have
been even better if it had been an illuminated button.

Why not use Bob Robert's tip of using the player 2 button for credits?
Hit it once, you get one credit for player 1. Hit it twice, and you get
2 credits plus 2 players selected. Details are on his web site.

sometimes it doesn't work. All depends on the pcb's debounce circuitry.
