New PSU, a massive decrease in performance

I just got a new PSU (MPX 650) and after 10 min of gaming I have a massive decrease in FPS. For example in FIFA 18, previously (with 450W psu), I got steady 60 fps on medium settings. With the new PSU, after 10 minutes everything in my pc is hot AF especially the PSU and CPU, and on low settings I get around 25fps. With my previous PSU it got a little bit warm and thats it, nothing special.
Is it maybe because I am ''giving'' too much wattage to everything in my PC.
Btw I bought it because im thinking on upgrading to 1060, and I got it for a good price.

My pc:
CPU: i7 4790 @ 3,60GHz
GPU: GTX 750 2gb
RAM: 1x 4gb + 1x 8gb ddr3
Motherboard: AS-Rock B85M-HDS
Storage: 1x SSD, 2x HDD

I dont have fans, except the CPU stock cooler and one small fan from the GPU.
I have been playing games with the front panel off and it still decrease the performance after certain time.
