[SOLVED] New PSU came with dirty cables

So, about a month ago I started buying parts for my new build. I bought the case and the PSU. On black friday that was.
Fast forward a few weeks, and last week I went to pick up everything else but the RAM and SSD (which had still not arrived). So I decided to start building the computer.
As soon as I open the little box that contains the PSU cables, I was shocked. Every single CPU and PCI cable was dirty. All the other cables were fine, just these CPU and PCI were dirty.
To makes it even weirder, the same CPU cable would have an entire half all clean, and the other half dirty.

Since its been a month I doubt they will do anything at the store. So my best shot would be trying to get in contact with Corsair. (I will talk to the store first though)

Now, because I kinda need the computer to be working asap, and in the very likely situation that the store says they can't do anything, should I just clean it myself?
Personally I'm don't like the idea of getting some dirty cables, CPU and PCI especially into brand new expensive hardware... But should I just clean them or is it just a bad idea?
There was also some sort of gold looking thing over some of the PSU connectors, not sure what that is either.

Here are some of the pictures of the cables as I unboxed them

I would like some advice!
Has anyone had this issue before? If so, how should I proceed?
Even though I need the computer up asap, I can temporarily use my old PSU for the new one, in case returning it to Corsair is the way to go.

Thanks in advance!

was the box sealed ? is it a new version or a renewed one ?
Sorry, forgot to mention that!
It was all sealed, that was the sole reason for me not to open and check everything out... Since I wasn't quite sure when I would buy everything else.
Thank you for the quick response :)
And it supposed to be all new, besides everything looks prestine except for these specific parts, which I find really odd

Corsair customer service is pretty good, they may just ship you new cables if you mention this to them.

Suspect maybe it was a lazy worker at the factory.
