So I bought a new PSU and replaced my old one that was about 4 years old. After hooking it up, my windows doesn't want to boot up and it stays on the loading screen for like 5 minutes before it starts. I have an 840 EVO SSD , and before it was loading in 20 seconds. Is it possible that a brand new PSU could cause this?
I haven't had any problems with the boot before this. I have played around in the BIOS but nothing I do works. I'm not a computer expert, so my computer guy, who hooked up the PSU for me, seems to think that I should just reinstall windows, which I really don't want to do. It takes along time to reinstall all those programs....
What do y'all think? Could my new PSU be causing this delayed boot up time or should I just go ahead and do a fresh install of Windows??? I just find it interesting that I wasn't having any boot up issues until I hooked up the new PSU.
