New PSU,error and needs to restart screen

I just installed a new PSU, when I first booted up I got the Gateway loading screen then a blue screen saying windows 8 ran into a error and needs to restart. After the restart it booted up perfectly. What could be the cause? (I did boot it up with a different monitor)
