HI,

long story short the stock fan in the corsair 750 tx power supply was loud so I thought i would just upgrade it. I bought this fan -

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00L64NST4/ref=twister_B00M0H2LH6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

It works fine when plugged into the 3 pin sockets, when i soldered the 2 pin header onto it and plugged into the PSU, the fan didn't turn on, my soldering is fine as soldered the 3 pin and 2 pin back on to their original components and they worked fine. Is this fan compatible with the PSU? would it work if I bought a 3 pin to 2 pin adapter instead?

All help greatly appreciated :)

note: i am aware warranty is voided and my soldering and what i soldered to what seems fine

Thanks,
Calum

Are you sure that adapter is what i need, because what I can tell from the picture all it does it exactly what I soldered. It just cuts off the third wire.
