xfx core editon 850 watt psu
intel i5 4690k at stock

All of these would work for you. http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/compare/cooler-master-power-supply-rs850afbag1us,corsair-power-supply-cp9020093na,evga-power-supply-220p20850x1/

I do believe it's worth noting that I have had my Cooler Master V1000 for over two years now and I put a full load on it for extended periods of time and have never experienced voltages be more than .003 volts above or below where they're supposed to be. Because of this, I recommend the Cooler Master V series

Do you have issues playing games on the 980Ti?

Anyway, 980Ti draws around the same as my old GTX 570. I used to run two of them with my Phenom II x4 940 and I put a heavy OC on the CPU and on the GPUs, I was drawing around 720W. I moved from the PII to my i5-4670k (stock) and the power draw with the 570s around 600W (this was also with 2 HDDs, 1 DVD ROM, 5 case fans and a fan controller)

As long as your PSU isn't really old and is at least 80+ Bronze rating or better, you should be good running two 980s in SLI.
