Hi, i have had to upgrade my psu due to it not being able to power my gpu during gaming and some other stuff. Anyone have any experience with these psu's? Would be mainly using it for gaming.

That's great, good luck with your build! Just remember, Corsair is a brilliant brand (can't wait for the new RGB RAM they revealed at CES), I use them a lot, but EVGA is the best for PSUs, for price/build quality.
Definitely go for the modular supply, because you can go on cablemod and get fancy replacements. EVGA is a good brand, and I use that Psu in my amd build, and I have a 1060 and the fx9590 at 4.7ghz, so it is more than enough!

I at first got the RM 750i, but it blew, when the evga didn't. The rm 750i was £40 more. I still like Corsair as a brand though. I have the spec alpha case.

not sure if i can afford a 750w supply from that series, is there much of a difference?

think im gonna get the modular then cause im on a budget of around £100, thanks

You don't need 750w for you system, get a quality 650W and you should be fine
Like a CXM Series from corsair or a EVGA G3 series

I think even if your pc could possibly do with that (mine said it could work with a 520 watt), I would play it safe to make sure you have not got anything wrong, and you have a sufficient amount of power, not barely the recommended amount.
