SO, i figured i might have burned my psu.
So i am gonna need a new one ofc.

Stats on my old psu where:
3.3V
24A

5v
20A

12v1
20A

12v2
25A

NOW .. my old psu uses 2x 4pin with 25 and 20 A
will i be able to use a psu with 4pin and the following stats:

3.3V
26A

5V
25A

12v1
30A <-- Can this power enough for my old 20 + 25A ?

As far as i am concerned, when u calculate Amps, then 20 + 25 dosent = 45.
Its more somthing like 20+25 = 25 right ?

Solution
yah it will work for the mobo.

if you're in demark, then perhaps a local online store would be better for you? if you can link to one i'd be happy to skim it and see what is available to you locally at the best cost. might end up cheaper not paying for international delivery. i work best in english but can navigate other languages if you could point me to the psu pages :)

i have done this many times before and know what i am looking for so it is rather easy to skim the site and find a quality unit for a decent price.
how about you list the specs of the pc and we can help add up the power needs. we can then offer suggestions of quality units that will be what you need.

simply trying to match specs of your old psu is not the way to do it.

and you're math on the 12v rail is not right. 20 + 25 does = 45 just not together on a single rail. so 30 12v amps is not even close to the same.

post the pc specs for us and we'll be happy to add up the power needs for you

collermaster has got an handy tool in there site were you can check out what kind of powersupply fits your needs.
you just fill in what you got and it does the math.

here is the link: http://www.coolermaster.com/power-supply-calculator/

those calculators are all but useless for anything but the brand they are trying to sell you. since coolermaster makes mostly junk psu's, they calculator will "recommend" a high wattage to make up for the fact that their psu's are junk. what might really be a 300w need will read as 600w from coolermaster ensuring their junk psu can actually do the job of a quality lower wattage unit.

i don't trust calculators at all. very few are really very accurate. i just learned the math behind it and do it myself. it's not really hard to do but take an understanding of how the psu rails work.

You're right. 20A + 25A does not equal 45A. You need to find the Total Watts you have for both 12v1 and 12v2 rails and divide that by 12 to find your Amps.

(Total Watts for 12v1 + 12v2) / 12 = Amps

Example: 400 Watts / 12 = 33.3A

Ok, regarding the Amp multiplication, if it where on a single rail, would 20 + 25 still = 45 ? (Just wanna know if im thinking about amps in the right way)

My specs:
Mobo p8h67-m pro (asus)
GPU gforce 750TI
CPU i7-2700k
HDD is some random mid standard.
RAM 3x 4gb 2rx8 pc3-10600s

Thank you a lot for helping out.
if you have any suggestions in PSU, please give them to me.

But, i need to think in some sort of a budget, since i dont know if i still have a job in 2 months .....

Delta electronics
CAA-500AT

Its some shitty psu.

Specs

+3.3v - 24A
--- 130W Max
+5v - 20A
----- 483.9W MAX

+12v1 - 20A
---- 432W MAX
+12v2 - 25A

-12V - 0.3A 3.6W
+5vsb 2.5A 12.5W

Hope that is enough

You're calling a Tier 1 PSU "shitty" shows that you don't know anything about power supply quality.

OK mate, remember, i am here because i know that i actually dont know enough about psu to pick one myself.
NOW, would you be kind and explain to me why you are calling my psu a tier 1 ?

AND how about this psu then, wouldent it be a good choice ?
Corsair VS Series VS550

Delta is a very consistently reliable PSU manufacturer and designer. I'd be hesitant to call that specific unit "Tier 1" myself, seeing as it looks like an OEM unit found in prebuilts, but it's probably decent to say the least.

i have listet them all, but i will ofc do again for saving the time of the person who will help me for free 😛

New psu i am looking at:
Corsair VS Series VS650

Thanks

ok, nice to know.
Then what would you recommend me then ?
Considering my requirements and specs.

your pc specs show you need very little power. a quality 450w psu would work fine but of course price is a factor. the "tiers" people are speaking of come from this list http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

the pros have tested and torn apart these psu's and ranked them based on quality. we suggest something from the first 2 tiers but a 3rd tier unit would be ok for your system since it is so low power. something like this would be more than enough power for you.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438032&cm_re=EVGA_500W_80%2b_Bronze-_-17-438-032-_-Product

it's a refurbished unit but newegg has great service if it is not working properly. this is a tier 3 unit but is plenty good enough for what you have. lots of headroom so it won't ever be taxed much at all.

if you can afford it, this is a much better unit http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151094&cm_re=SeaSonic_S12II_520W-_-17-151-094-_-Product and worth the extra $20 if you got it to spend.

ok.
The
Evga 500W
That looks like somthing that will suit my needs ?

Keep in mind, i only use my pc for cs:go and lol, no highend games.
Wouldent it be enough for my needs ? and the supply of watts and amps seem to sum up with my old one ?

Thanks for the response.
I have decided to be a little less cheap and go with the Sea Sonic.
now.
As far as i can tell, what my old psu used where a 4+4 eps/atx connection.
I am not quite sure, but it says on the website it has a
1x power 8 pin eps12v with changeable 4 pin atx12v section <-- this is what i need right ???
1x power 8 pin eps12v

Or do i need an adapter ?
Would hate to need a little piece to get it up running since in denmark delivery from international takes forever.

yah it will work for the mobo.

Thank you a lot for going such lengths to help me out.
Truth is, i actually bought this item you suggested "sea sonic" at 04:00 last night after you told me.
I just wanted to be 100% sure, but thanks.

I should be good to go now.
