New psu installed but no monitor signal

Hey guys this is my first time installing a psu.
I bought a new 750w psu to use with my new graphics card (which will be here friday) i installed it lat night but was having some issues. My old psu simply had a p4 and the new one has a p4+4, when i turn on my computer with the new psu the monitor recieves no signal... The computer and fans turn on but monitor wont. I tried my old psu a few min ago and it worked fine! Can anyone help me?

Connect one of the 4+4 (check the pins' shape) to the board's 4 pin connector.
