New PSU not working?

i recently started buying new arts for my first custom build, and someone suggested a PSU for me and so I bought it. It came in the mail the other day and this morning I put everything together and after doing so nothing turned on, not even the fan on the PSU. Any way to determine my issue? I made sure all the cords were plugged into there proper spots on the mobo.

Many psu's have a master on/off switch on the back. make sure its actually on.
