[SOLVED] New PSU smells weird

So recently i bought a new psu. A 530 WATT, so i installed it 5 minutes ago and it smells like burned plastic. It works, but it smells really bad. Is this a bad sign??

This is somewhat common and should go away soon (like in a day or so). If not, something likely melted (defective) and the PSU should be exchanged/replaced.
