I am currently awaiting an MSI GTX 980 in the post and my current PSU is a Corsair CX500M. I think that the 500w should be sufficient alongside my i5 4690k, however the PSU has not got any of the two 8pin/6+2pin cables required to run the 980. I do not want to spend upwards of £90 on a good, new PSU just so the cables can be compatible with the GPU, especially if the 500w is already enough.

Please could you let me know any suggestions... Is there any way I can buy these cables? Can I just put a 6pin to 2x8pin adapter? Or do I need a new PSU!?

Thanks :)
