Question New PSU which is better

Agreed, thats not a good SeaSonic.

The CX550 is about the most modern and most reliable power supply you will get for the money.

Seasonic S12 power supplies, even the seasonic designed ones, are not haswell ready and lack c6 and c7 power state support. The CX550 is newer and doesnt have this issue.

The Haswell hiccup is a 'zero load' power state, just an ultra low sleep state. Doesn't really affect most ppl unless you leave the pc on for extended periods of time and just let it sleep. Most gamers use performance power plan, so that kills c6 anyways. C6 is easily disable in most any bios, windows power settings if it becomes an issue where the pc doesn't wake from such a long sleep period.
