I was not able to reply to my old thread.

So I had to create a new one.

MEMORY: (Req.DDR2 MainBoard)2GB (2x1GB) PC6400 DDR2/800 Dual Channel Memory (Corsair or Major Brand)

VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT 1GB 16X PCI Express (EVGA Powered by NVIDIA)

The q9300 should be good, the Q9660 is overpriced. Also do you plan on playing any games? Because the 9600gt 1gb is joke and will only make a difference at really high resolutions, get the 512mb version.

Hello Shadow

I dont play game that much, only occasionally. once in a month or two.

Mainly, i use my comp for Multi Tasking.

How about
NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT 512MB 16X PCI Express

Should i go with 9 Series or 8 Series of nVidia ?

Overpriced? I guess that depend on where you live. In the US they can be had for $180 ( http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0287043 ) vs. the 9300's $280 ( http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0286544 ).

I'd say the 9300 is overpriced considering you can get a 9450 for $300 ( http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0287628 ) eh?

Hello

Then which one should I go for.

Q9300 or Q9450

I checked my local computer stores(United Arab Emirates) and here are the prices I am getting:

Quad Core Q9300 = $283.00

Dual Core E8500 = $296.00

Casing (ThermalTake Armor) = $231.00

Graphics : nVidia 9600 GT 512 MB = $183.00

Graphics : nVidia 9600 GT 1 Gb = $299.00

Graphics : nVidia 9800 GX2 1 Gb = $762.00

Memory : 1 GB Crosair = $27.00

Case: Are you paying for TWO Power Supplies? The 420W in the Cosmos Tower and the Corsair 650W. What less expensive options do you like?
Motherboard: This SLI motherboard is much more than you need.
RAM: 4GB is an inexpensive upgrade.
Power Supply: The 600W eXtreme Power with SLI support want a popular choice. But a good 450W PSU (Corsair 450VX?) would be fine.
Cooling Fan: How much is that option costing you? If you're arent going to overclock its not a good price performance option. And it's "Extreme Silent" claim means little since the ordinary fan cooler noise is very slight and lost in the PSU and video card fan noise (also fairly quiet when not gaming).

Are you actually planning on buying from CyberPower or just using the site to configure and price systems?

I think ill have to get the remaining parts from USA.

expecially the
CASE: CoolerMaster Cosmos S Gaming Full Tower 420W Case w/ Transparent Side Panel

and Motherboard

Which motherboard should i opt for ?

Those are very good prices.

Q9300 and 9600GT/512 should be plenty of CPU and video card power.

ThermalTake Armor is a BIG case and also expensive for your total budget.
Can you find a case you like for about $80 and a PSU 450Watts for about the same?

Hello WR2

I am just checking the price systems. I have to buy individual pieces, some from USA which are not available in UAE.

I am buying 1 GB X 2 DD2 Corsair rams.

So which Power supply should I go for. The one in CoolerMaster or seperate 600 Watts

I'd go for:

E8400/Q9300
Corsair 650TX (build quality, etc)
9600GT 512MB (the premium for the 1GB will never be justified)
4GB of good brand ram (OCZ, G SKill, Corsair, AData, Crucial)

Edit: I'd opt NOT to get the CM PSU.

Hello Kyle

So I should i a seperate PSU from the one which comes in a Case.

Which casing should I buy ?

Also should I buy Q9300 or Q9450. I think Q9450 lets you overclock it better than Q9300

Im having a very hard time figuring out the actual cost of items on the CyberPower website. They only sell you complete systems - not individual parts.

Am I right in thinking you very much want a case that looks like the CoolerMaster Cosmos? Red LED Fans and all?

Hello

Which Motherboard should I go for ?

As someone suggested that I dont need SLI, so I think ill leave that.

So which motherboard is good without SLI.

Also, should I buy eVGA Graphics 9600 GT 512 mb Card or regular nVidia

I think you plan on buying the individual parts and having them sent to Aramex Shipping for final shipment to you in the UAE?
I don't have any experiance with freight fowarding companies or have any inside information on what US companies will ship to them.
But I did notice the Aramex Shop&Ship mailbox option! [:wr2:5] Aramex Shop & Ship

Im going to suggest a different website since its much easier to view the individual prices for parts instead of the bundle of parts @ CyberPowerPC
It's also easier to pick and choose the parts you want. MWave.com You can use the website's Shopping Cart to carry around the different parts till you make your final choices.

Antec 900 casing $109
Corsair 450VX Power Supply $75
Asus P5K P35 Motherboard $125
C2Q Q9300 CPU $279
4GB Corsair XMS DDR2 PC2 6400 $90
WD 500GB SATA Hard Drive $89
Evga Superclocked 9600GT video card $170

Corsair 4GB USB Flash Drive $20

@WR2

You guessed it right, im using Aramex's ShopandShip service. :D

Thanks alot for listing the parts. I will go through each of them one by one. :)

@KyleSTL
Yes, I would be assembling it myself. i have always custom built my own PC's. Never had I ever bought a Built PC ;)

@WR2

20" or 21 " LCD Monitor. Samsung or Viewsonic. Would CRT be good ?
