New Ram Causes Random BSODs

Hi, I recently upgraded my Ram from 3x4GB to 2x8GB. Everything seemed to be working fine until I started getting some rather irregularly-timed BSODs. These would occur randomly throughout the day. Sometimes I will go 6-hours without a BSOD, sometimes 2. I understand the timings are different and apparently my new ram is dual-channel kit. But I've been told that it shouldn't matter. Any help would be appreciated!

Old Ram (CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9B) - 3x4GB

- DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
- Timing 9-9-9-24
- Cas Latency 9
- Voltage 1.5V

I was about to do a memtest, but I decided to check timing as spooky2th suggested. I think it might be it, because the timing says somethint ot the effect of 9-9-9-24 as opposed to the new timing of 10-10-10-27 which my new ram is suppose to have.

My DRAM Timing Page seems to be configured liked this:

Primary Timing

DRAM CAS# Latency CHA: 9 Auto
DRAM RAS# to CAS# Delay CHA: 9 Auto
DRAM RAS# PRE Time CHA: 9 Auto
DRAM RAS# ACT Time CHA: 24 Auto
DRAM COMMAND Mode CHA: 2 Auto

There's secondary timings but I don't know if it's relevant.

Should I proceed with changing the numbers to 10-10-10-27 and leave command mode to 2?
Would resetting my motherboard to default settings resolve the issue as well?
