New RAM causing PC to turn off and then back on

I've done extensive troubleshooting with this issue, and now am pretty sure that the problem is the two extra sticks of RAM that I added to my Mobo. I originally had 8 GB of RAM, but bought the same exact ones and put the two new sticks in, and then a few days later started to notice the problem. It usually happens every 3rd time I boot it up. When I removed the two new sticks of RAM and left the original two in, I shut it on and off repeatedly myself and it never turned off on it's own, so it's gotta be a RAM issue here. They are 4 sticks of RAM (took the two new ones out), same type, but I thought that it wouldn't be a mixing issue if the RAM is the same? What is wrong?

Usually, RAM is sold in packs of two or four, only guaranteed to work with the other stick(s) that came in that package. Usually, mixing two 16GB kits will work, but sometimes there is the rare exception where they simply don't work together. If possible, I'd sell or send back the two and buy 1 32GB kit.

Mine are 8GB for each package, 2 sticks each, totaling 16 GB, although I'm assuming that doesn't change much of your answer, just the numbers?
