Hi Team,

Hoping someone can answer this while my lazy 4ss goes to bed.

I have a choice of reactivating one of 3 mobo's to use as a home server/(PC of hate 😵) now that I've got my new gaming rig underway.

Choice 1: Have inherited the above GA-H55-S2V with i5-650 still attached. Needs RAM though and not overly certain if it's in working order (was going to go to my local PC shop once I had a RAM choice in mind and see if they'll let me fit and post first before purchasing =))

Choice 2: Current rig using inherited parts but in working order: P5Q SE with E7400

Choice 3: Old gaming rig: P5N32-E SLI Plus with E6750, old RAID 0 boot failed and haven't investigated to see what the issue is, whether one of the HDDs, or the Raid controller, or even the SATA ports etc.

The H55 is probably the best option as long as I can find compatible RAM - I'm thinking 2 x 4Gb 1600MHz of something. Needs to be 240pin and, from what I'm reading, double not single sided RAM. Would like to keep cost down while getting something reasonable... Will do some more research on the morrow, but hopefully someone(s) chime in between now and then.

Any assistance would be appreciated =))

Fk it, I think I'll just splice the two 775 rig components instead of dropping $100 on RAM for a board that may not work... None of my locals seem to stock RAM that sh!t so would have to buy it in.

E7400 + P5Q + GTX475 + 4 x 1G Corsair DDR2 800MHz, I need to redo the TIM so will prolly just get a hyper 212 EVO. Will do some testing and try to figure out where the fail is with the Raid 0 that's dropped out, hopefully it's not the drives themselves.
