If you got a ram upgrade, what ram were you working with prior? Did you perform a BIOS update(if there were any pending) prior to dropping the ram in? I would ask you to try working with a different PSU since it's considered to be an expensive paper weight.

Which slots are the ram populating on the board?

I had 8gb of the same ram before and added 8gb more to make the 16gb. I didnt perform a bios update. Yeah I'll get a new psu soon because i know the one i have right now is not that great. I put the ram in the slots the mobo manual said for me to put them in.

I got 8gb more ram to add to my pc that had 8gb before so after i installed it i had 16gb. I tried turning the pc on after the installation and everything looked like it was running fine but when i turned on my monitor, there was no display. After this occured i took out the 8gb i installed and tried turning it on again but the same thing happened, no display. Did i accidentally shock the pc or is there some other issue?
