What RAM slots did you use?

FYI:

Gigabyte B365M Wifi

Doublecheck that the memory modules are correctly installed per physically numbered Pages 9 and 10 of the manual.

[Do verify that I found the applicable user manual.]

If the memory modules prove to be correctly installed and configured then read through and review the entire motherboard manual for other possible installation and/or configuration errors.

Some connection may have come loose or some card may not be fully seated. Check everything.

I used slots 2 and 4 which my manual said, that didn't work so i tried slots 1 and 3, then slots 1 and 2, non of which worked.
Everything works fine when I use either of the two sticks on it's own, so both sticks must be okay, what else could it be ?

And I will add a question about the new RAM: was that RAM purchased as a kit of matched modules for dual channel use?

In addition to brand and model, where was the RAM purchased?

= = = =

Try using Powershell to compare the RAM modules.

You can easily find other similar links.

Just be sure that only "Get"s are run with admin rights - you only need to find out more about the installed RAM. Not make any changes to anything.

Look for some difference between the modules. Post accordingly.

You should be able to copy and paste the results of the Powershell cmdlets and not need to retype it all.
