New Ram issue

So I just got new RAM (Kingston fury hyper x 2x8gb 1866 MHz) and when I put it into my computer and turn it on...I get just a blank screen...at first I thought it was simply my cable being loose...but it wasn't. (when I put my old ram sticks back in...everything worked just fine again) so I just wanted some help in figuring out if its just the RAM that's bad or if there's a compatibility issue with my motherboard (MSI 970A-G46) or what? any advice would be great!

Ram probably isn't compatible. Kingston only shows these Value Ram modules as being compatible.
