New ram no display

K so I bought another 8gb o ram today which brings my total to 16. Using them for gaming. I know 16gb is over kill and most games will run fine with 8 but Star citizen update has made running the game with 8gb unplayable. I have 1600 8gb ddr4 stock (original) and a team skill 8 ddr4 2400 ( new). I installed the new ram with no power to pc, start up and everything works and lights up other than display. Iv tried one and the other in all slots same thing happens. Iv reset bios with no success. Both ram went in with no mistakes so can’t blame it on putting them in incorrectly so what is the issue and how can I fix it. Also striped all unnecessary components I.E all my secondary HD’s and video have been removed using on board video. Still no success. Can somebody help I really don’t want to fork out more money for another ram stick and or mobo that would suck.

Mixing memory is a big gamble.
Some times it works.
Some time it sort of works at reduced speeds and timings.
Some times it will not work no matter what you do.
If you want or need 16GB the best option is a matched set for guaranteed success otherwise it is a gamble.
