Dear Friends

I recently bought a new 4gb single module RAM ( Transcend JM1333KLN-4G DDR3 ). When I took out my old RAM (DYNET 2gb DDR3 1333) and replaced with the new one, I did not get the POST. only black screen. i tried rebooting few times but it did not work. When i put the old RAM back my computer was working fine. Is there a Compatibility issue with the new RAM i purchased? what are my options? Please need a solution.

Motherboard - ASUS M4N68T - M LE V2
RAM - Transcend JM1333kln-4G DDR3
CPU - AMD ATHLON II X2 255 processor 3.1 ghz
OS - windows 7

Thanks
Tanmay.

I'd suggest putting the old module back in, booting the system, and then updating the BIOS.
After the BIOS update completes successfully, install the new module and try booting again.

sir i updated the BIOS to the latest version but still there is no POST when i put on the new ram. then when again i switched to the older one it works fine. any other options i should try?

I'm having the same issue. It's been awhile since I've built my computer (2010), but now I'm trying to upgrade. I currently have a 2GB module installed, but for whatever reason the 4GB module won't get me to POST. Computer boots and I have mobo light, just blank screen.

Motherboard: ASUS M4N68T-M AM3
CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 630 Propus Quad-Core 2.8GHz
RAM: CORSAIR 2GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333

I first bought a 4GB gskill, but that didn't work. I now just tried a 4GB corsair. Both didn't work
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666)
Corsair XMS3 4 GB 1333MHz PC3-10666 240-pin DDR3

its rare. i have same mobo and is running 16 gb OF ram while the official manual says that only support 8gb. I have 2 modules Kingston hyper X 1600mhz. total 16gb and works great, you may have to try these rams hyperx.
