Hello everyone,

I'm having a problem with pc RAMS. I have: Asus P5P43TD motherboard with 2GB of installed ram (2x1). And I recently bought a Corsair firm ram ( DDR3 1333mhz 4x1GB) and when I try to run my pc with the old and the new ram - the pc won't start. Well it's seems that it's working, but it's all black screened.

Ask me if you need more information about this problem, I'll try to answer it.

Mixing RAM is never good.

The RAM may run at different timings and/or voltages.

If you want more help, post the models of the RAM sticks (or post timings and voltages).

But then...Shouldn't it run with the new ram only? Without mixing them. If I add only the new ram it still won't start.

P.S Sorry for my bad English.

It should still run without old.

Sorry, I wasn't aware.

Both new and old RAM seem to run at the same speed, voltage and CAS Latency.

Try the new RAM in the 2nd and 4th slots only. See if it boots then. It's possible that the RAM isn't supported to run in all 4 slots (or maybe not at all!).

I already tried adding the new RAM in each slot. And still it didn't work : (. I don't see the problem why don't it work. I mean...I asked about the rams at the shop where I was buying and I took my old RAM as an example to see what should I buy for my pc. (only more ram)

Clear your CMOS by either removing the battery for a few minutes (to be sure it'll clear) or using clear CMOS pins on the board. Doing this will reset your BIOS settings.

Yeah. Already tried that too. Didn't work. I event tried adding a diffrent battery...(I guess that wasn't the smartest idea).

To me it seems possible that the RAM isn't supported.

I can't really think of a solution. You've tried everything I would have. Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm not sure.

Does the PC make any beeping noises when you turn it on?

Nah. It seems that it's working fine.

He means it seems like it's working fine (no beeps). I asked him whether or not it was making any beeping noises.
