New RAM prevents the PC from booting up

Hi guys,

I just tried to install some extra RAM on my PC. Here are my specs:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad
RAM: 4GB
MB: MSI P45-C51

I tried to install 8 more GBs of RAM but the PC doesn't boot up at all but instead just powers up for a few seconds, no monitor, powers down and then back up on its own. Gets stuck in this loop.
The specs for the motherboard say it can handle up to 1333MHz RAM (1600MHz OC). The new RAM I have is at 1333MHZ, just like the old one.

So far, I've tried removing the old 2 sticks, using just the new ones. I tried it with just one of the new ones, tried reseting BIOS to its defaults (Load Fail-safe defaults)... You name it, I've tried it. No luck.
The most interesting part is that the new 8GBs of ram are 2 sticks at 4GB each and neither of them work on their own either. If it was a faulty RAM what are the chances that both sticks would be faulty?

This is my new RAM model:
Apacer 4GB UNB PC3-10600 CL9

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Thx outfront,
Juro

It is possible, but doubtful that both new sticks are bad. A more likely cause would be that they are not compatible with your motherboard, although from what I've been able to find, they meet the mobo specs. Have you tried each new stick (one at a time) in all four slots?

Yes, I have tried it and no luck.
I just tried running those "Crucial" scans I found here on the site:
http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/viewscanbyid.aspx?id=472DE7E531D926C3
My current RAM is detected as DDR2 when in fact it says DDR3 right there on the sticks. There's no way that could be the issue, right? I mean they should not even fit in the same slots, right?

thx,
Juro

Any chance that the Crucial scan was wrong? I just tried getting all the specs using CPU-Z and everything shows up as I would expect
P45-C51 (MS-7519)
DDR3 RAM installed... etc

But I can't find my MB model on Corsair site here:
http://www.corsair.com/en/learn_n_explore/

Could that be it? My new RAM doesn't support my motherboard and that's it? It seems pretty obvious to me that I will have to replace the new sticks. Just need to know what exactly was the problem so that I don't order new ones with the same problem.

Thx,
Juro
