Hi! I just got new memory as my old ones were below recommended speed for my new CPU.

After changing the RAM I'm now getting insane boot times of 5mins+ (Both for getting into Windows and BIOS.)

I've managed to get the sticks running at 3600mhz with xmp after some hassle. But now the mouse stutter and I still got insane boot times as mentioned. Also got some weird problems in Windows, such as not able to shut off the computer thru the start menu.

My specs below. All help are welcome!

  • Ryzen 9 3900X
  • MSI Tomahawk X570 Wi-Fi
  • Minnen: Corsair Vengeance 2x16GB @ 3600mhz.

RAM in slots A2-B2 and using XMP and manually setting the speed to 3600MHz?

What is the BIOS version you're using?

I've double checked the manual for the MB and yes, they're in those slots. I've only set XMP at the moment, haven't done anything manual to the configuration except bump the voltage up to 1.39.

I'm using the latest bios version, updated yesterday when trying to figure this one out.

Leave everything at auto except the speed manually at 3600MHz. Try 3200MHz if 3600MHz doesn't work.

What is the model number of your RAM?

What is your BIOS version?

Should be CMW32GX4M2Z3600C18

Bios should be 7C84v161 (99% sure, can double check later. At work atm)

3600MHz does not boot at all. Gonna give 3200 a go after I reset bios

Edit: 3200 works and the computer boots way faster.
Edit2: Still experiencing mouse lag/stuttering.
Edit 3: I've popped my old memories back, running at 3000Mhz. Mouse problem seems to be present with those as well now. So I guess it's not RAM-related?
