ga-MA78GM-S2H is my mobo and that should support max 16gb. I had 2 sticks of 4gb and then I installed another 2 and diagnosed that it wouldn't work with one [strike]for[/strike] of the sticks but system okay with 12gb and 1 free slot , I tried another stick I knew to be working and the same issue, it wont boot up/ there is no graphics output unless I took the stick out, I was hoping on having 2 pairs in dual channel since they have the same core speed , 800mhz.

Look for sticker on all ram's and if the chips are on both sides or on single side (DS or SS), yes that matters, and how much ram is per chip (thats called destiny).

Dual channel on your motherboard is A1 A2 B1 B2 soo 2 same sticks in A1+A2 and 2 new sticks in B1+B2
if you did then probably ram are miss matched if they are then try finding quad 16GB set or save up money for new PC.

I have 2 pairs of 4gb , both pairs are equal in board , just not in memory chip 2 are huynix 2 are Kingston all have 32 chips on each ram "board". I get the BIOS long beep repeated when that stick is in on its own so I think I can assume it is faulty. Also all sticks are rated at 800 and the mobo puts them clocked at 667 is there a reason. For this? Thanks

Memory is guaranteed in the form sold. As you have discovered, multiple combinations of memory sold as single modules or multiple combinations of memory kits cause the memory to be unable to operate at rated specifications. Such combinations are not guaranteed to work together, however you are free to do your own compatibility testing.

You may find "do it yourself" compatibility testing of various modules to be more expensive than simply purchasing a single kit that has already be tested for compatibility and has a lifetime guarantee.

If you bought from china then you got "fake" ones they can easily print the sticker. Look in chips on ram, they should give you like random letters and numbers, type them into google and add size of it in your case 4GB and it should pop up, ive bought 2GB 800 but its actual 667MHz, i dont know how they do it.

Can you take picture of the stickers? (if not a problem)

Have you tried just new ram only?
