new ram stick not working

Several weeks ago i've bought a 4gb stick and tried to install it.
My problem is that whenever the new ram stick is on the moteher board, it won't boot up: fans are spinning but no graphics on my monitor.
i have made sure that cpu is compatible, i have made sure that my frequency is correct, i tried to change the slots and even tried to install both old and new ram sticks.
nothing.
Please help me!

CPU: Intel Core 2 QuadCPU Q8300 @2.5Ghz ~2.5GHz
NEW RAM: KVR13N9S8/4 1333MHz
MOTHER BOARD: G41M-VS3
Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

First stick your old ram, boot up in bios, shut down, stick new ram and it should boot up.

Now which is your OLD ram? Does it have chips on both sides or on one? (same question for new ram)

Looks like high-density memory in a motherboard that doesn't support it is the problem.

If by chips you mean those black things (i apologize for ignorance) both ram have chips on one side only.
My old ram is KVR 1066D3S8N7/2G

The new memory is not compatible with the older motherboard chipset.

See this note, "**In order to maximize the system memory, please install 4GB memory module with 16 cells or 2GB memory modules with at least 8 cells."

so the solution is to buy a new, compatible ram stick or new mother board?
