Hello. One week ago I bought 2x8GB of ram (HyperX Savage 16GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9 Dual Channel Kit). I have installed them and I noticed that my pc wouldn't boot up, it was stuck on windows loading screen and then it was just staying on a black screen. I remember that it somehow booted after resetting settings in bios for the first time, and everything was working fine. Then the next day I noticed that the pc won't boot up again.. Then I tried many things like changing things around bios, switching the sticks of ram between them, I tried reseting windows 10. After this it was working fine again, even after restarting the pc.. but I made the stupid mistake to get back in bios to change some video card settings back to normal.. then it wouldn't boot again. I tried using the old ram too, and it was the same thing.. So I went with the pc at a repair shop for a complete diagnostics tests. After 5-6 days of tests, I went to them today to ask them what's going on so far.. there are no errors and they say everything is working fine, but they still want to test it a bit more till tomorrow. They seem like they don't have a clue what's going on, they said that maybe it is the OS or something wrong with the motherboard that they can't see.. A friend of mine says that for sure the ram is faulty and he suggests me to get HyperX Fury Black 16GB DDR3 1600 MHz CL10 Dual Channel Kit. But I really don't know what to say because I never had a problem like this, so maybe someone can help me.
Thank you!

My PC specs are:
OS : Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
MB : Gigabyte GA-B85-HD3
GPU : MSI GeForce GTX 760 Gaming Twin Frozr OC 2GB
CPU : Intel Core i7 4770 3.4GHz box
Old RAM : 2x Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9
New Ram: HyperX Savage 16GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9 Dual Channel Kit (I wanted to use just this one without the old one)
Power Supply : Corsair RM750 750W
HDD : Western Digital Blue 1TB & Western Digital Black 500GB
SSD : Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB

Can you check if the ram is registered in the bios? and can you be more specific is there a black screen what comes after what, does it begin booting and then shuts down? have you tried resetting bios to factory settings, updating BIOS might fix the issue.

Yes, everything was looking ok in bios. When I boot up my PC, everythng is fine till it starts loading windows, it just freezes on windows's logo when that circle is spinning, it stays like this for 1-2 minutes and then the black screen appears and I have to restart it, but it will be the same thing if I do so, or I have to shut it down .
Yes, I pressed on "load optimized settings" or something like that in bios after the first time when I saw that it doesn't load windows, and then evrything was ok, but the next day the error was back.
I tried updating bios, it's just the same .. 🙁

I forgot to say that I tried that too. I remember that I tried changing the voltage too, but I don't remember which settings I put.
Tomorrow I'm getting my PC back and I will keep this thread updated with what happens.
I was thinking of changing my OS or something too, but first I will see if everything works like before.

I was at them today, but they said to come back tomorrow because the guy that repairs my pc wasn't there and he wants to test it more even if today I should have got it back. Still no errors till now. I will try to talk with that guy to try other solutions if I notice that the error isn't fixed. 🙁
I will keep you updated with news tomorrow.

I got my computer back 5 days ago. For some reason it seems that everything is fine now. I'm running it with my old ram and my new one and maybe that's the reason it works now, it seems that everything works fine with both of them. They had 0 errors running test with both of them.
Also, I changed my windows too. I did a clean install of windows 7, but it was working fine on my old windows too..

Thank you for helping me anyway :)
And sorry for another ram thread, I hope that maybe this will help someone out somehow :)
