My friend has been having this weird issue lately, whenever he overclocks his rams it would freeze his pc once every few days or so.
But if we remove that overclock, it will stop freezing.
So he decided to buy a new set of ram, and he did he bought the gskill ones.
But now, that he overclocked his ram again it still froze again.
Am starting to wonder that its not a RAM issue, but more of a motherboard/voltage issue maybe?
I told him to do a memetest but he doesn't have an available USB on hand right now.
So anyone has an idea what could be an issue here?

Thank you in advance.

EDIT:
His motherboard is PRIME Z390-A asus.
His rams are Gskill trident z 32GB 3600mhz

You should only use ram that has been tested OK for use in your motherboard. Otherwise you can expect problems.
Is the ram on the motherboard memory QVL?
Does a bios reset get rid f the problem?
