I just built my first desktop with some help of my friend. We were able to connect everything properly. once I started running the computer I installed windows 7 64 bit, followed by a wireless driver, then the motherboard driver, then the graphics driver. Throughout the initial stages of installing all the drivers nothing seemed wrong. Then when I started to download games on steam and battle.net or even watching a youtube video full screen it started to freeze on me.I couldn't ctr+alt+del or move my mouse. It would just completely freeze.

Here is what I have in my Rig:
Intel i7-47705
Asus Maximus vi Formula
EVGA geoforce gtx780ti
4 sticks of ddr3 g.skill Trident X (ddr3-2400)
Crucial M500 240GB SATA 2.5" 7mm Solid State Drive
Western Digital WD Black WD2002FAEX 2TB HHD
SAMSUNG DVD Burner SATA Model SH-224DB/BEBE - OEM
ASUS PCE-N15 Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Solution
Your CPU/GPU temps? PS? Have you tried with one stick or one pair of RAM? Try Re-seating everything: GPU, HD connectors, Sata cables, CPU power. Un and Re-install NVidia driver. Have you checked with Asus's site to make sure you have the newest of every driver. IS there a newer BIOS for your MB?

So I pretty much did a complete re install of everything, including windows 7. Then installed the motherboard, graphics and wireless. Then I went and updated every driver. So far I've been running a stress test and it's been running for the past 15 minutes with no heating issues. As I was typing, it just froze again. I'm assuming it's possibly something to do with the graphics card since it tends to freeze when I start to rely on more graphic oriented tasks.
Also, how would I check the onboard igpu?

Restart your PC. Press Dell/F8 when asked to enter BIOS setup. Click at Advanced option on main screen. Click at System Agent Configuration ==> Graphics Configuration. Change the value of Primary Adapter to iGPU.

Just for checking purpose pl let me know about your mouse and keyboard. Are they combo? USB based and if USB based then in which ports they are plugged in?

Just changed to igpu. but now neither of my monitors are showing anything.
I am using a Razer naga for a mouse, plugged in to a 2.0 port on the motherboard
crosair vengence k70 for a keyboard also plaugged in to 2.0 ports on the motherboard.

Nvm, got one moniter to work now. but the resolution is off.

Multi Display is by default disabled on iGPU. Pl use only one monitor. This is troubleshooting. Restrict to the minimum so that case can be built up pl.

Purpose of checking the system with iGPU is to check if the problem you are facing could be due to the GPU.

Right now I'm doing another test to see if I can get it to freeze. I just updated my bios and also installed a beta driver for my gpu( saw some forums where is worked,) I'm monitoring temps just to double make sure nothing is over heating. Right now running highest quality and gpu isn't going above 70C.

Good going. Temp is ok.

Solution

Been running it for a while now and everything seems to be fine. gpu not going above 70 and core has yet to come up to 60. I believe everything is fixed now. Going to keep running it for a little bit longer and see if anything else happens.
I appreciate your help.

Good to know your problem is resolved.
