So, i've only been a laptop user due to the fact i've moved around a lot. But now i have a chance to finally build my first desktop. I've come here to now ask, are all these parts worth getting (better parts out there?) for the price and specs and are they all compatible. I'm open to any suggestions!

Yes, extreme4 or your gigabyte mobo, whatever works for you.
I'd suggest you get gtx 670 because it's 100$ cheaper, but performs almost the same!
Not sure why you need 16 GB RAM, get 8 GB of DIMM RAM, NO SO_DIMM like you posted.
Also get HAF 932 case to make sure you get usb 3.0 ports on your front panel.

So these are the new upgrades i found as a replacement for the above specs already!
