New Rig, New Card.

This is the new set up I bought, I need card that would be able to handle SCII, I am looking at the PNY GeForce 9800GT 1G, any suggestions?

I also need a power supply and I found the above link? any suggestions on whether or not this will work?

That PSU would be good.

With the GTX460, it will be one potent rig that should run SC2 at Ultra settings with 50-60fps @1900*1200.

But why not these, it will give you nearly the same SC2 performance for $50 less:

the GTX 460 will play SC2 at 55+ FPS, with the OC i7 it averaged 61FPS at ultra 1900x1200. considering SC II only uses two cores the OP can achieve better then 40 FPS easily with some light OC.

also, how does the 5770 offer similar performance to the GTX 460?

Ah, sorry. The 40+ was a guesstimate, hence the "+", will edit.


I do recall the HD5770 to be very close to the 460 on that bench, guess I looked at the bench of 1900*1200@ high:

The Nvidias do pull ahead of the ATIs on ultra, hmm..
