New Router not showing improvements?

Hi, I just bought a new router (wrt 1900ac), upgrading from a very shitty router, and i ran them and both in speedtest and am not seeing a huge difference(both are around 5mbps download speed through ethernet). anything i can do to fix this? thanks

What are your speedtest results when connecting the PC directly to the modem? What is your internet connection speed supposed to be?
