Over here in my country right now, I can get either the cheapest RTX2060 Super which is a Zotac mini, or get a used Gigabyte Aurus GTX1080 ti for roughly the same price. The RTX has a 3 year warranty, and the Gigabyte seller is giving me 1 year warranty.
I am using it for gaming (1080p haha overkill I know), 3D GPU rendering (1080ti has only small advantage over the RTX 2060 Super), and I am thinking of getting an Oculus Quest so will be using it for VR gaming as well.
Personally I am leaning towards the 1080ti. Because I think the 1080ti still has an advantage in terms of performance. RTX has raytracing which is nice, but I read that 2060 super is not powerful enough for consistent fps while playing in raytracing. Thinking of getting the 1080ti and maybe only upgrade once the tech and price makes sense. But I would appreciate your opinions and insight. Thanks.
