Hey guys,
Just getting into the pc game and built my first one this last couple months.
Thermaltake View 71
Asus Maximus x Code Z370 Mobo
I7-9700K Processor
Geforce Rog Strix RTX2080 O8G
32gb (2x16)3200mhz Corsair Vengance pro RGB
Thermaltake Water 3.0 240 double riing liquid cooler
3 Riing 140mm fans
1tb SX8200 PRO NVME ssd(which games are downloaded on)
250gb 970EVONVME ssd (operating system)
4tb Barracuda Pro
Asus 31.5 ROG Strix XG32VQ
Evga Supernova 1200 P2 80+ Platinum

I did the bios flashback to get support on my motherboard for 9th gen chips, downloaded Windows 10 64 bit, and then downloaded all the newest drivers for graphics card and mother board. I got two free games which were anthem and Battlefield 5 with the purchase of my graphics card. When i play them i cant seem to get past 70-80 fps on either of the games. Tempratures seem fine, but since im new to this i dont know if im missing anything. Should this card have no isssues handing at least 100-120 fps? i even tried moving the slider on gpu tweak to aim for 120 fps but it seemed to make no difference at all.. Can any one give me a few pointers?

If you are playing at 1440P then your FPS is about right depending on the game settings.

If Ray Tracing is enabled it is a huge performance hit in BF5.
So probably nothing wrong? like i said im pretty new to this and the game still looks amazing i just thought should have had a higher fps since i tried to go with a new cpu an RTX2080 and 32 gb of 3200mhz ram.... I know ray tracing is the new features of the rtx series, is it enabled in game setting or in the gpu? Thanks for your patience guys

It's in the game settings.

Without ray tracing he should be around 120fps in BF5. I get around 120fps with a lesser system than his.

Make sure your RAM is installed in the correct slots and running in dual channel mode.

That's why I mentioned the settings and Ray Tracing.

Also GForce experience could have upscaled the resolution.

I don't play BF5 so I am not sure if it upscales it or not.
