Hi all

So i recently upgrade my ram, ssd, motherboard, cpu water cooler and motherboard Ill first list the exact parts then explain my isssues.

https://www.gskill.com/product/165/3...2GTZN-Overview (ram)
https://www.gigabyte.com/au/Motherbo...NG-X-rev-10#kf (motherboard)
https://www.corsair.com/ww/en/Catego.../CW-9060009-WW (cpu water cooler)
Arctic silver 5 thermal paste
https://www.amd.com/en/products/cpu/amd-ryzen-9-3900xt (cpu)
https://shop.westerndigital.com/prod...sd#WDS250G2B0C (M.2 nvme ssd)

So i put everything together yesterday enable the xmp @3600mhz (18-22-22-42) no boot only thing that worked was the base 2133mmhz speed.
Cut the story short i got it today to run @3266mhz (18-22-22-40) without using the xmp profile a friend mentioned that as an amd user i should be using
something called docp or something which i cant find in the bios.

Second issue in bios all drives are deteced, system first installed on samsung 850 evo@250gb cant detect other drives, today I reinstalled on nvme ssd and the samsung 850 shows
however my seagate sshd though i can find it in windows device manager and bios i cant use it or see it. Thats the model 1863GB Seagate ST2000DX001-1NS164. During all
this i did have the boot record fail 3 times when i tried a enabling nvme raid which disables the nvme drive from showing. Tried following the motherboard guide section on manual it didnt help.
Also tried different cabling for the SSHD.

I tried using my old ram on this motherboard as well as a test, the system refuses to boot up at all just sits idle. Can someone guide me using a gigabyte motherboard how to overclock my
ram and can someone please help me figure how to get my sshd to show for now, im not using my old samsung ssd anymore. For a water cooler and browser usage the cpu temp is hitting 50degress.
After this post im about to run 3d mark and try cinebench for the first time to see if the system is even stable. Ill update on that later. Sidenote bios update caused a blackscreen but it did
update the firmware i double checked.

Though I can put my own pc together when it comes to overclocking Im new please understand this and old my cpu was a 6700k overclocked @4.5ghz and xmp ram @3200MHz . If the tests i do next
fail im gonna return the ram to be fixed though i wont mention the overclocking part of it even though its meant to run at that speed. And im just gonna buy 3200mhz and be done with it.

(forgot to mention tried every speed from 3600mhz down only 3266mhz without xmp was stable with xmp 3200mhz worked but the speed was actually slightly lower.

The 2tb sshd has no drive letter so rightclick it and assign one to it. If you remember which one it had before the upgrade use that one for best result otherwise might pathways to programs not work.

Can right click an icon on the desktop from a program you know is on the 2tb sshd and click location, that might reveal drive letter so you know what letter to assign.

Sidenote bios update caused a blackscreen but it did
update the firmware i double checked.
So you updated the bios to the latest? Bios might go black whe doing that, is no "black screen", hope you left it to it to do the full update.

I thanked in a post before its now showing the lettering of the drive fixed it thank you as for the bios update i let ir tun its full cause left around 70% and came back to a black screen? Should i redo it? As in the black screen then reboots the system or?

Yeah i fixed all issues as a previous intel user i was used to using ram slots a1,b1 found out amd use a2,b2. The moment i changed this the 3600mhz ram booted. As for the hot cpu tempatures i got a idle 36c by downloading the cosair software and applying it too extreme cooling.

Didn't think about this, yes most motherboard makers now do use A2+B2 as default for dualchannel with two sticks.

Can reapply Arctic 5 again, might also need time to cure since a very thick paste. This kind of thick paste is imo best served by applying not as a drop, but spread it yourself thinly.
