Hi,

I am looking to build a new Ryzen 5 3600 build for gaming. There are some parts that I really like, but unsure about the compatibility of the components (esp motherboard and PSU).

I want an RGB build in a black case, conscious about quietness and temperature. Will be for gaming but not necessarily for ultra high 4k res.

Where I am based some brands like Be Quiet! are not available.

At the moment my choice is

ASUS PRIME B450M-A motherboard
Corsair i-cue 220t RGB case
Corsair H100i RGB cooler
Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM
SAMSUNG 860 EVO 500GB SSD
MSI 1660 Ti Gaming X video card
Corsair RM Gold 650W psu

I understand the extra cooling may not be required, but i like the RGB.

Budget wise, anything +/- $100 of this would be fine.

My monitor is an LG ultra gear 24 inch full hd gaming monitor 1920x1080, 1ms, 144mhz.

Any recommendations appreciated!

Thank you!

All looks good to me. You may want to consider a Crucial MX500 as it performs the same as the 860 Evo, but the Crucial is much cheaper.

Also, you may want to make sure the motherboard has the correct bios revision, otherwise the 3600 may not boot.
How do I check this? Is there any motherboards you recommend that won’t run into these issues?

As they are faster, and often cheaper, a crucial P1 or intel 660p would be a better choice SSD wise. I cannot recommend B450 boards, especially from Asus, with 3rd gen. To avoid potential bios issues, I would recommend getting an x570, even if it is a lower end one.

Yes, I will switch the SSD around. How about a Gigabyte X570 GAMING X? Would this be suitable for the case that I chose? Thanks.
