Hey there, my new Ryzen PC i built has left many games that i could previously run,(on a less powerful system) completely unplayable. BF1 for example sits at 10 fps and doesn't load properly. My specs are

CPU: Ryzen 3 1200
GPU: GTX 1050
MOBO: Gigabyte AB350 gaming
RAM: 16GB of 2600Mhz DDR4 (2 sticks of 8gb)
PSU: Corsair VS550
I have checked temperatures they are all normal not overheating or anything, all my drivers are up to date as far as i can know. Other games i have tried including, Apex Legends on all low runs at 50fps, CSGO runs at 100fps roughly but BF1, BF4 and Rust or any other fairly intensive games are unplayable. Thanks so much to anyone who can help i really appreciate it!

Well it isn't the fastest CPU ever made and the ones you are having trouble with are notorious for having higher CPU requirements.

Have you looked at the temperatures and clock speeds when you are trying to run these games?

What CPU did you have before?

I purchased a 1200 to try Ryzen out. It was paired with a 960 and then later a 1080 and I had zero issues with any game with appropriate resolution and settings.
I would consider that you have some issue ongoing with either RAM or perhaps a driver incompatibility.

Hi guys thanks to all for the fast response, my previous system had an fx6300 but the same PSU and GPU and I had zero problems. I am playing all games at 1080p. Also I will double check temps and clock speeds however they were fairly normal the last time I checked. I do understand that the ryzen isn’t a super CPU but I don’t think I should be getting 10 FPS on a game like BF1 I have checked online benchmarks of similar systems to mine snd the game ran fine.

Sorry I wrote that down wrong they are actually meant to be running at 2400mhz, and yes I believe they are running st the correct speeds if the bios are anything to go by. My ram is running in duel channel, and I do believe I have them in the correct slots (slots 1 and 3)

Hey guys, i checked my temps after 30 mins of play BF1(at 20fps) and CPU was at 45c and GPU at 30c. i also opened task manager while BF1 was running and my GPU usage was between 1 and 2 percent is that normal?

while playing BF1 it was at 42 percent, GPU was at 0 percent and Memory was at 55 percent.

I have attempted to completely remove then reinstall the nvida drivers for my GPU but this has not solved the GPU usage issue.

I also noticed when i opened up Speccy my RAM was clocked at 1113Mhz even though in the Bios it says it is 2400Mhz like it should be.

Also in CPU-Z my proccessors core speed was apparently 1500Mhz.

Now sorry if i have made any mistakes here i am pretty new to PC building but i don;t think any of this is normal is it?
