so i just upgrade to a new ryzen system and im in love with it, but i noticed when i have 16gb of ram installed it only showed 8 as usable. checked the "msconfig" and it was all fine, so i got amazon to send me a different set thinking it was a ram stick. swapped and still not fixed. so after fiddling around with it i came to the conclusion that ram slot A2 was bad and i would have to RMA the board. but just to make sure before i sent the old ram sticks back i pop in all 4. well now it shows i have 32gb of ram available and all is ok to use... so is it the slot?

Bios is up to date as of today and nothing is overclocked, normally i could live with for the time being but some of my games really like to use right around 8gb and ill occasionally get fram dumps or stutters

Solution
Put your 2 sticks into slot A1 and A2, boot to windows, see it then says 16gb installed, this will be in single channel mode, now shut down and move the one stick from A1 to B2, resulting in the 1st and 3rd slot being populated, and once again, boot to windows and see what it says.

I think there is typing error in there, 1st and 3rd slot i think there are A1, B1 not A1, B2, the B2 slot should be forth slot.
