Question New Ryzen Cpu not working.

After buying a ryzen 5 5600x to replace my ryzen 5 3600, it crashes whenever opening up a game. It runs fine browsing but instantly crashes when opening a game. It is not a power concern as I have a 850 watt power supply. I have downloaded all the motherboard drivers but it continues to crash. Any ideas?

Did you update the motherboards BIOS to support the 5600X?

What 850w psu? They are not all made equal.

Did you at least reset CMOS settings? Different CPU's need different memory optimizations and resetting CMOS clears that problem up.

What is the make/model of your 850w psu?
There is a potential issue with the 3000 series cards that they can send control signals to the psu that some can not handle.
