New Samsung 850 Pro - first reviews

This morning Tom's Hardware published a technical review of the new Samsung 850 Pro SATA 3 6Gb/s ssd featuring Samsung's brand new 3D V-NAND and an amazing 10 year warranty. Tom's Hardware was not the only publisher. Numerous other sites have published their own reviews. I already have over a dozen English Language reviews listed in the ssd database I maintain. Here is the link:

Just scroll down to the Samsung section and follow the links to the technical reviews.

I will post links to reviews in other languages a soon as possible.

Release date is the 21st of July. Newegg is already taking pre-orders.

Samsung is planning to release a second 850 model later in the year.

Your welcome!

Wait a minute - There's more! This morning Samsung released a new version of their SSD Magician which included a new "rapid mode". The original version could only use 1GB of system memory as a cache similar to a ramdisk. The new version can use up to 25% of the system memory providing there is sufficient memory for the operating system. I started a separate thread about it and posted my results. Here is the link to the other thread:
