New sata drive not recognised in bios

Hello,
I connected a new seagate sata hdd but my bios is not detecting it.
My mobo is asus P5GC-MX .
Some help would be appreciated

You have both the SATA and power cables connected properly?

Ya and the drive is also spinning and when i connect it to another pc it detects it ..

Depending on the HDD model, you may be able to limit its interface speed to 1.5Gbps via a jumper.

Otherwise I would apply the latest BIOS update to your motherboard.
