[SOLVED] New SATA M.2 SSD causing 5 beeps

I just tried installing a new WD Blue 3D NAND 1TB Internal PC SSD - SATA III 6 Gb/s, M.2 2280 into my Asrock B450 Pro4 mobo and when I try to boot, it gives me 5 beeps.

I’ve seen similar threads describing an issue whereby the beeps continue after the M.2 SSD is removed. In my case, my PC boots perfectly fine as soon as I remove the M.2

I’ve tried reseating everything, removing the SATA cable from my 120gb SSD (has my OS), no luck so far.

Wondering if this is an issue with my M.2 SSD? Or perhaps my mobo Ultra M.2 slot? Checked compatibility and this should work. Can’t even get to BIOS with the SSD installed in the M.2

Any ideas?

Which M.2 socket? M2_1 supports only PCIe/NVMe drives, but M2_2 supports SATA.
